Daniel Jones appears to be trying his hand out at multiple other sports. The quarterback who is in the last year of his rookie contract has a lot to prove this upcoming season as it is do or die for him. Jones will have to convince the Giants that he is the man and that he is capable of being a starting quarterback for the team. Despite all of this pressure, he seems to be unfazed.

Jones has taken up cornhole, a sport where the object is to throw a bag filled with corn kernels into a 6″ hole that is cut into a tilted wooden platform. Jones has signed a contract for three years with the American Cornhole league after killing it in the minor leagues all summer. The latest move by Daniel Jones makes him the ONLY active multi-sport professional athlete in the entire NFL.

Daniel Jones signed a 3-year-deal with the American Cornhole League:

This move by DJ has also etched his name into the record books as the only other NFL players to ever try their hand at being multi-sport athletes were Deion ‘Prime’ Sanders, the greatest cornerback to ever do it and Bo Jackson. Sanders played baseball while being in the NFL and so did Bo Jackson who played football and baseball both.

“Daniel Jones got it all figured out, is he an actual human? The (expletive) is good at cornhole which tells me that he’s got good muscle memory and as an athlete will that carry over to him being a great NFL quarterback?” Pat McAfee gets hyped over the Giants QB becoming a pro in another sport as well.

Jones has had a decent career and in hindsight, if things do not fare out well for him this NFL season, it will be because of the Giants organization and not entirely his fault. He has had a different coach almost every year that he was in the NFL which means he’s had to learn a new playbook every year, most quarterbacks master one playbook over a long time but Jones was in a different situation that nobody considers ideal.

The Giants quarterback is a poor man’s version of Lamar Jackson, he can throw and he can run, he leads his team in rushing almost every other game in the absence of Saquon Barkley. This year, there are a lot of expectations that lie on Jones’ shoulders and we hope he does prove everyone who doubted him wrong.
