Durant was born in Washington DC on 29th September 1977 to Wanda and Wayne Pratt. He started his high school career at National Christian Academy and transferred to Oak Hill Academy for his junior season. For his senior year, he transferred to Montrose Christian School.
He played college basketball for only one season in 2006-2007 and put his name for the NBA drafts in the year 2007. The 33 year-old was selected by Seattle SuperSonics, now known as Oklahoma City Thunders.
After spending nearly nine years at the franchise, Durant made a decision to move to Golden State Warriors in 2016 where he won his two NBA championships. In 2019, KD was on the move again and found his place at the Brooklyn Nets. Durant is a two time NBA finals MVP and a twelve time NBA All-Star.
