It has been a big week for a local organization. Foster and Heart, which provides housing for foster children, opened its second home.

Foster and Heart is a local non-profit meeting the needs of Idaho foster children. The organization opened its second home this week, already filling up and providing housing to eight kids.

From the outside, it looks like any other home in a neighborhood. It has a kitchen table and comfortable furniture, but this is far from an ordinary house.

Foster and Heart hopes "Bubba's House" will be a refuge for children removed from their homes and placed into foster care. It is now the second home operated by Foster and Heart.

A staff, all with background checks, care for these kids around the clock. They carefully and intentionally meet the many needs and have an understanding of the trauma these children have experienced.

In addition to the two homes it operates, the organization has "essential projects." This is a place full of all the items people taking in foster children may need in the first few days.

If you are a foster family with a need or want to support the organization, contact Foster and Heart online.
